Broccoli
Keith's parents are in town this weekend and we cooked dinner at our house. I still make separate meals for Jayce as his food tastes are still different than ours. Often he wants to try what we are eating but then turns his head when we offer the food to him. His idea of a great meal is any fruit, peas, corn, raisins, potatoes or pasta. Well today he was adventurous. Keith's dad was eating brocolli and Jayce decided he really wanted some. Well sitting over on Grandad's lap, Jayce ate practically three grown adult servings of broccoli! So glad I planted a lot of that in the garden! You never know with this kid!

Garden
Here are a couple pictures of our garden.
Jayce LOVES the peas. Not one peapod actually makes it up to the house as he eats them all as they get picked and begs for more.
The first garden has tomatoes, asparagus & strawberries. There are blueberry bushes behind the garden.

The second garden has eggplant, cucumbers, broccoli, grean beans & peas.

We have this beautiful Cardinal family in our yard, with two little babies. So cute. I took pictures of the family.

Here is their biggest vice! Milo...who has actually brought us two birds as presents already. I'm guarding these baby cardinals when they start to fly.

Garden
WOW, the garden is so awesome. Since I set up the automatic watering system in the garden I rarely go check on everything. Keith said that we had a few strawberries to pick so I went down to the garden yesterday to get them...and oh my, not only did we have strawberries, but there are a ton of cherry tomatoes growing, hundreds of flowers on the other tomato plants, a few cucumbers, a few eggplants and a ton of green beans & peas. All the plants have gotten huge. I really needed to space the tomato plants out more. The broccoli is enormous too. And the funny thing was that there was one lonely asparagus spear! I LOVE fresh green beans so I was in heaven eating them fresh from the garden. Jayce was a huge fan of the peas. This kid LOVES his veggies and he was really excited to eat peas from the garden. He even signed and asked for "more" at the same time...when he is really excited he signs and talks the word. Can't wait to harvest a bunch this weekend! So fun.
