CT Baby Shower

We had our CT Jack-n-Jill baby shower a couple of weekends ago. Keith and I really had a nice relaxing time. Kathy convinced us to have the event catered which was a terrific idea. She and Ernie picked up the tab for Black Eyed Sally's to deliver and serve some scruptious pulled pork and jambalaya. That way Keith and I didn't have to do any cooking. We did decide though that we need to host one big party every year just so we pick up the mess we make throughout the year! This year was especially bad in clutter since we did not host our annual Halloween party last year as we were still traveling across the country.

But I finally feel prepared for Jayce to come. His crib is made up and we have diapers. That's all I need right?! I have my hospital bag packed and we are pretty much ready to go. I should probably review some of that labor material I received months ago when we took birthing class as I'm not quite confident yet in everything that is going to transpire. Now it is just a waiting game. Will he be early or late? What will he look like? How big will he be? It is so strange to have this "alien" growing inside you and not to know anything about him. Only time will tell.

Tuna Fishing on the FP

The Friendly Persuasion had a short year but a productive one with new personal bests. Both Dave and I caught our largest yellowfin tuna to date, Cmoore caught his first white marlin, Uncle Bob his first albacore tuna and Glenn lotsssss of sleep. Even big Bob is a fan of rough New England fishing and can not wait for next year. The tally for our two trips this season: 2 albacore tuna, 3 yellowfin tuna, 2 mahi mahi and one white marlin. The FP will be back in CT next year so we will have some more fun! Here is a pic of our two yellowfin.

Also of note for the season was Cmoore's largets fluke to date.
