June 09 Pictures

Here are the pictures from this past month. The kids are growing up so fast.

Jayce has made huge strides in language this month and is starting to copy all the words we say. It is still hard to understand him fully but we are learning! :) He still loves helping us out. Today he cleaned the boat with Keith...and he really does actually help...he gets the brush and scrubs away. I even taught him how to use the lawn hose (still not sure this was a good idea) and he can spray things on his own....to include people!
Kaelyn has learned to roll over, mostly from her belly to back, but just today I found her on her belly in her crib...so I guess she also knows how to roll from back to belly. She's been doing really well with eye, hand, mouth control. She is very precise in her movements and always makes contact and directs things right to her mouth. She's also sitting up on her own for short periods of time.
J & K are starting to interact with each other. K loves looking at him and reaches out to toach him. J is starting to bring K toys and tries to play with her. They are just so cute together...I love it!
Hope you enjoy pictures.

Rolling over & Getting Dizzy

Here are a couple videos...
Kaelyn's very 1st roll over. I was just randomly video taping her with tummy time and she rolled over!

This video is of Jayce doing circles to make himself dizzy! Don't you wish life was this simple again.

Beach Weekend

So we had a wonderful weekend planned with Laurie, Tom & Maggie. Friday afternoon we headed to southern RI. After we unpacked, we went down to a local lake and Maggie & Jayce played on the lake beach. Jayce was unusually cranky as he missed his afternoon nap. We usually plan car trips around Jayce's nap schedule as he "hates" the car and if we plan our trip at his naptime he'll fall asleep and there is peace! But the last two car trips he's just stayed awake during nap time. I think now that he's gotten older he can appreciate all the new things he sees out the car window. So looks like mom & dad need a new plan. Well I think the nap and all the excitement of being at a new place just compounded and Jayce turned into a mini terror at night. Keith tried to get him to sleep for 2 hours and he cried the whole time, he went for a little drive, which put Jayce to sleep but then as soon as he stopped the car he woke up and started crying again. Finally Jayce exhausted himself to sleep (and surprisingly never woke Maggie up!) but then around 12:30 woke up crying again. Keith decided to drive him home. Kaelyn and I stayed the night. Keith and Jayce came back on Saturday and we spent a great day at the beach but we ended up cutting our whole vacation short and we all came home Saturday night. Looks like we need to change Jayce's environment up some more as this sensitivity will really cramp our vacation plans! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
