Spencer Baby Shower

My mom threw an awesome shower for us in Spencer this past weekend. We got a ton of "stuff" for Jayce. I was really hesitant about the shower and all the hulla-baloo that ususally goes with it, but she kept it small and intimate which was really awesome. Keith even opened gifts. Aly was the time keeper who made sure that Keith didn't investigate anything too much and kept the ball rolling. We even played some great games. For on game, my mom gave us all 3 minutes to make as many words out of "Jayce Baran" as you could. Our Spencer neighbor Beth rolled in with a whopping 20 words. I only came up with 14 and not sure about Keith as he was insisting that "ya" should be a word! Here are a few pictures from the shower that we took with our camera. More will come later once we develop the disposable cameras.

Momentious Day

So I finally reached a big milestone in this pregnancy...people can tell I'm pregnant! Though I thought it would never happen, it finally has at 30 weeks. A few people approached me at work today and asked if I was pregnant...it was fun telling them "yes".... even though everyone thought I was only 4-5 months along. Little (or should I say big) Jayce is sure hiding himself well!

Lately, Keith has been getting a kick out of my stomach when Jayce does his evening exercise routine. My whole abdomen contorts and misc. body parts make themselves known. Keith thinks it is really cool while I lay there wincing in pain as my organs gets temporarily displaced!

But, only a few more months to go! Here is my 30 week picture (where I finally look pregnant) in front of the crib that Keith so dilegently put together while I was at water aerobics last Wednesday.

Big Baby!

So we had out 28 week ultrasound today and got another look at little Jayce...or should I say BIG Jayce. He is measuring 2 weeks big. My mom thinks this is hilarious as my belly is so small and this kid is so big! I asked the Dr. whether this means that I'll go two weeks early and she basically said no, it just means that I'm going to have a big baby! UGhh! So based on my 22 week u/s and this one, Jayce is putting on 7 oz a week. Extrapolate that out to 40 weeks the best case scenario is a 8 1/2 lb'er. But the baby is now supposed to put on 1/2 lb a week during the last trimester which would make Jayce a little over 9 lbs. Lovely heh! I really want a healthy baby...but a small healthy baby would be a bit better! :)

That's it for now. Once Keith sets up the crib in the baby's room I'll put pictures on the web.
