Cleaning Boy
I swear my mom must have given Jayce the cleaning genes!
This kid loves to help out especially when it comes to cleaning. I really don't understand, but it all started with his facination for the vacuum. Keith turns on the vacuum and Jayce comes crawling over so fast sometimes he even face plants. He helps push the vacuum around the room. I thought most kids would be scared of the loud noise...but not Jayce. Then the other day I took out a swifter broom and he quickly grabbed the broom and crawled around picking up dust and dog hair. So now I just leave a ready swifter nearby and Jayce cleans the floor. The newest cleaning craze has been his toys, I've been cleaning them every few weeks, especially after we bring them outside or camping and Jayce takes the rag or brush and helps me clean them. I told Keith that we really need to pay attention to our attitude about cleaning and make sure that it remains "helping" not a "chore" that way Jayce will want to help out. It actually makes cleaning less of a "chore" for us as it is so fun watching him learn to help in each task we set forth to accomplish.
